A wildlife enthusiast since I was a child, growing up in Northeast England on Tyneside in the 1970s, I have always had an interest in nature and photography. In 2004, after a 20 years career in banking, I decided to quit and sell up to travel the world. I joined the Wild Images and Birdquest family in September 2005 and since then have guided on all seven continents to a wide variety of destinations. My work takes me to some amazing places! Currently, I live in East Lancashire with my partner Évi and our son, Alexander.
My present repertoire of talks is ‘Antarctica, The Falklands & South Georgia’, 'Australia's Northern Territory', 'Belarus’, 'Wildlife of Brazil's Pantanal', 'Colorado's High Plains & Rocky Mountains', 'Indian Wildlife', 'Ladakh in Winter: Snow Leopards, Ibisbills & more', 'Madagascar: Wildlife of the Eighth Continent', 'Oman', 'Svalbard: A Polar Wilderness' and 'Wildlife Photography Techniques'.
